Actuarial modeling was a natural fit for me because I love problem-solving and I’ve always gravitated towards creating custom solutions.

How did you begin your journey into actuarial science?
I’ve always had a passion for math, even from a young age. So after speaking with my aunt, who’s a VP at a large Canadian insurance company, I decided to take the leap into actuarial mathematics in my second year of Commerce.

What led you to Actuarial modeling?
Actuarial modeling was a natural fit for me because I love problem-solving and I’ve always gravitated towards creating custom solutions. AXIS does an incredible job of managing the complexities faced in actuarial processes. It’s exciting to see how our work on client models improves the quality of outputs.

What’s your background in AXIS?
I first began using AXIS during the initial stages of IFRS 17 implementation. It was interesting to learn the software at a time when so much development was needed from a software, as well as an organizational perspective. It was neat to see how current processes can have such a drastic impact on the implementation decisions that were decided on across the organization.

Why did you join Valani Global?
I joined Valani Global because they have a stellar reputation in the actuarial industry for integrity and providing high-quality work. The best aspect of my career has always been building strong relationships with clients and at Valani, I have the opportunity to build those relationships with clients as well as our own team.

Why should clients hire Valani Global?
Clients should hire us for our commitment to excellence. Valani Global has the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle new challenges as business requirements continue to evolve. In addition, our in-depth expertise keeps us at the forefront of best practices.

What skillset do you bring to the Valani team?
I have significant experience in the practical aspects of implementing new reporting standards such as IFRS 17. I work diligently with the client to understand the issues involved and develop tailored solutions. I take great pride in my client-centric approach and building relationships is integral to my work. 🟦
