How did you begin your journey into actuarial science?
I was always good at math but my interest in actuarial science began through my dad. Growing up, I was inspired by his dedication to his work and it was that passion that I really wanted to be a part of. Every Saturday my Dad would tutor me in advanced math topics and it was fun.
What led you to Actuarial modeling?
After I graduated, I took a job at an Insurance company in their AXIS modeling team, and then I moved into actuarial consulting. Over the years, I modernized models for best practices across many types of insurance products. I enjoy using a mix of qualitative and quantitative skills to understand the process from beginning to end.
What's your background in AXIS?
Based on my experience working with different types of actuarial software it is clear that AXIS is the best possible technology to address today's complex financial modeling needs. I co-founded Valani Global to build a team of AXIS experts who can deliver the best results for our clients.
Why did you join Valani Global?
