Raul Martin

VP & Consulting Actuary

Raul brings over 25 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience, specializing in reserving, financial and capital modeling, expert witness, mergers and acquisitions, feasibility and funding studies through his appointed actuary work for insurance, reinsurance and captive/reciprocal companies. He was heavily involved in IFRS 17 implementation and is now turning his attention to Climate issues. Before his long tenure with JSCP, he did work for The Halifax Insurance Company and Markel Insurance. Raul holds a Bachelor of Mathematics (double honours Actuarial Science and Statistics) from the University of Waterloo and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
